Experienced Employment Lawyer Kristin Jones Pierre Joins Faegre Baker Daniels

Minneapolis (31-January-2013) - Kristin Jones Pierre has joined Faegre Baker Daniels LLP as counsel in the labor and employment practice group.

With more than 10 years in law practice, Pierre has represented and advised management throughout the country in a range of labor and employment law matters, including defending employment-related litigation and providing counseling in the prevention of unlawful employment practices. Her experience includes clients in retail, airline, manufacturing, communications, education, banking, state agencies and nonprofits.

Pierre has served as lead counsel for all aspects of litigation in nationwide federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including claims of race, age and gender discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation, enforcement of non-competes and restrictive covenants, and wage and hour disputes. She routinely advises employers on preventative litigation strategies by auditing and improving management policies and practices, providing training and investigating allegations of harassment and discrimination.

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Pierre was a shareholder with Halleland Lewis Nilan Sipkins & Johnson in Minneapolis, a senior associate at Seyfarth Shaw in Chicago and an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General.

Pierre graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Minnesota Law School after earning her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin. Following law school, she served as a law clerk in the Minnesota Court of Appeals for the Hon. Thomas J. Kalitowski.
