Sun Tan City Expands into 17th State; Converts Five Rochester, NY Golden Tan Salons

February 19, 2013 // Franchising.com // LOUISVILLE, KY - Sun Tan City’s rapid franchise growth continues with the completion of a conversion of five Rochester, NY-based Golden Tans Salons. The Golden Tans conversion in January included five tanning salons owned by Rocco Viele as part of a new franchise agreement; Viele will be opening an additional sixth location in April.

Viele, who founded the business in 1984, bought the exclusive Sun Tan City franchise rights for Monroe County in October 2012. The switch allows customers the option of using their packages at any of the more than 225 Sun Tan City locations nationwide. The salons will also offer more products, improved equipment and a stronger customer service network.
