South Beach Tanning Company: Franchise Expanding In Charlotte

The South Beach Tanning Company deploys expansion plan through both franchising and company-owned locations. The newest franchise location is in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) February 26, 2013 - The newest South Beach Tanning, located at 9335 N Tryon Street #103 in Charlotte, is the second franchise location that owner, Scott Cline, has opened in Charlotte. His first location opened in Charlotte in December, 2009; and with the success of that location, Scott decided to open another. This second location has exceeded Scott’s expectations in the short 12 weeks since its opening.

The South Beach Tanning Company: Franchise Expanding In Charlotte.

Cline never imagined that he would be in the tanning salon business. He grew up in North Carolina, where he attended N.C. State University and studied accounting. He worked in both private and public accounting, and eventually opened a small chain of day care centers. When Scott decided to explore the tanning business, he did it on the recommendation of his daughter and current business partner, who was then managing a high-volume tanning salon in Charlotte. Over the course of a few months, his daughter told him more and more about the salon where she worked; at first, he didn’t pay much attention, but over time, he was interested enough to start researching. After learning as much as he could about other tanning businesses in the industry, Scott decided to go with South Beach Tanning, a franchise out of Orlando, Florida. After visiting Orlando and meeting with company founder and president, Brian Hibbard, and several of his managers, there were many things that stood out to Scott about South Beach, but one thing he liked the most: He was the first franchisee. Mr. Cline, of course, was no stranger to running a business, but the tanning industry was a new venture, and he wanted to know that he would have the support he needed to get going.

Cline plans to open five salons or more in the Charlotte area over the next few years. South Beach Tanning franchisor, Brian Hibbard says, “Scott is very detail oriented and a great operator. Since he is a CPA and auditor by trade, his attention to detail in the numbers of the store is impeccable.” Scott’s also very involved in the hiring process, and since he isn’t in the stores every day, he follows up on new hires and makes sure he is hiring the best staff possible. His newest location in Charlotte is directly across the street from the main entrance to UNCC (University of North Carolina at Charlotte), and the energy in the area makes owning a business there fun and easy.

South Beach Tanning and Scott Cline only see things getting better and better from this point forward. Scott’s building on the success of his past, loyal customers who spread the word, and a brand that’s glowing with possibilities.
