Jamba Juice and Professional Football Player Vernon Davis Enter Store Development Agreement as Part of Company’s California Expansion Plan

Partnership With Pro Football Player Highlights Jamba’s Attraction for Entrepreneurial Athletes

EMERYVILLE, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Feb. 28, 2013 - Jamba Juice Company (NASDAQ: JMBA) and professional football player Vernon Davis announced today the signing of a store development agreement that will enhance the brand’s presence in the extended Santa Clara marketplace over the next two years. The partnership provides a platform for a long-term relationship in which Mr. Davis plans to open two new Jamba Juice® stores in the Santa Clara area over the next two years, with an option to open two more new Jamba Juice stores in the same area over the following two years. As part of the new partnership, Mr. Davis has purchased one of Jamba’s existing stores in Santa Clara, and he is currently finalizing plans for its Grand Opening under his new ownership.

Jamba’s and Mr. Davis’s mutual goals in establishing this partnership are to leverage the strength of their respective brands to promote health and wellness in the Santa Clara area and to work together to help promote lifestyle changes for those seeking better dietary solutions. In addition, the expansion of Jamba stores in this marketplace will help promote economic development and provide job opportunities for local residents.
