ColorTyme Enters Mississippi with Conversion of Independent Rent-to-Own Store

March 06, 2013 // Franchising.com // PEARL, Miss. – ColorTyme, Inc., the nation’s first franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores, celebrated the opening of its first Mississippi location in the town of Pearl by franchisee Pauline Holcombe with a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, March 2.

A first-time ColorTyme franchisee, Holcombe and her team converted the former Rent City location to ColorTyme. It was the third such conversion for the company in the past year.

“We believe ColorTyme offers tremendous opportunity for an independent rent-to-own operator looking to grow their business,” said ColorTyme CEO Cathy Skula. “Pauline and her team have been delivering outstanding customer service to the people of Pearl for many years. She shares our vision, and we could not be happier that she is now part of ColorTyme.”

Attendees to the event were treated to a number of giveaways, including watches, artwork and a grand prize of a flat-screen television. Children in attendance enjoyed a jumping castle, pizza, and performances by a local magician.

During the event, the store generated over 10 deliveries, and has continued to increase these numbers since opening their doors.

ColorTyme Pearl is located at 2532 Highway 80 East, and its hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The store will be closed on Sunday, and can be reached by phone at (601) 939-1181.

Like all ColorTyme stores, the new Pearl location offers a variety of convenient payment plans without a credit check. Holcombe and her staff intend to give residents a unique rental experience by creating a hometown atmosphere with superior customer service.
