Wingstop to Land in Duluth

National wing chain announces development agreement to expand presence in Georgia.

March 06, 2013 // // RICHARDSON, Texas – Wingstop, the award-winning 550+ unit wing chain, has signed a franchise development agreement to open its first restaurants in Duluth, Ga.

The two-store agreement is thanks to Duluth resident Anila Lalani. Lalani, who currently works as a research oncology nurse, is reviewing sites and plans to open her first location later this year.

“My husband and I have lived in Duluth for several years and love being part of the community,” said Lalani. “We’re excited to introduce Wingstop to new fans. There’s really nothing else like it here in Duluth, and we can’t wait to open our first restaurant.”

Currently, Wingstop has three restaurants in the Augusta-area, a location in Columbus, Ga. and three throughout the Atlanta area with 16 more locations under construction or in development in the state.

“I’ve been a huge fan of the Wingstop product since I worked in Lufkin, Texas right after college. When we started to consider opening a new franchise, I immediately thought of Wingstop,” added Lalani. “The quality of the food is exceptional and the simplicity of the concept is what really sold us on the brand as operators.”

With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features classic and boneless wings, chicken strips and Glider sandwiches – all sauced and hand-tossed in 10 original flavors. Homemade side dishes include fresh-cut seasoned fries, made daily from Idaho potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad.
