Colin Reid, owner of Edmonton SIGNARAMA, credits improvements to their website’s search engine optimization and organic search rankings in the past year and a half. Reid also used sandwich boards outside his store, word of mouth at events and trade shows, and he hosted a barbeque in the store parking lot to meet local clients.
“Not only did the public awareness about our website raise our online sales, it helped our in-store sales grow, too,” said Reid. “It leads me to believe we have gained clients through a means where we would not have normally obtained this business! That is nothing but positive!”
The success of Edmonton SIGNARAMA’s online sales comes on the heels of other notable achievements in 2012. They were inducted into the SIGNARAMA Hall of Fame, the first Canadian store to be inducted. And they were awarded their third Overall Achievement Award.
The success experienced by Edmonton SIGNARAMA is notable, and Colin attributes it to the hard work he, his wife Michelle, and their team put in day to day, and an amazingly supportive community. To keep community ties strong, despite the ease of online ordering, Edmonton SIGNARAMA runs a program called Signs of Support.
