TAMPA, FL (March 18, 2013) – Outback Steakhouse breaks out the brackets so fans can help choose which appetizer will be given away free on Tuesdays during March’s basketball tournament. Get in the game by visiting www.outback.com/tourney and place your vote to decide which of four favorite Outback appetizers will be named the TourneyTizer champion. Each week, two appetizers go head to head to decide that week’s winner. The winning appetizer from each round will be offered free* at all Outback locations on the Tuesday following the voting. On the third week, Outback will surprise guests with a reprise of one of the previous winners.
(3/17-22) Coconut Shrimp vs. Crab and Avocado Stack Tuesday, March 26
(3/23-29) Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie vs. Chicken Artichoke Flatbread Tuesday, April 2
(no voting) Winner of Week 1 vs. Winner of Week 2 Tuesday, April 9
“There’s a tournament for basketball, so why not a tournament for your taste buds?” said Outback Steakhouse Chief Marketing Officer Mike Kappitt, “TourneyTizer Tuesdays jump on the excitement of the games, but Outback brackets are a sure bet because everyone gets a free appetizer for three Tuesdays in row.”
