Keller Williams Realty Apollo Beach Hosts Walk-A-Thon to Benefit the Lord’s Lighthouse

Keller Williams Realty's South Shore Market Center Team is sponsoring its 6th Annual Walk-A-Thon to benefit The Lord's Lighthouse Ministry, a non-profit organization that assists over 1,200 local families living on the edge of poverty.

Apollo Beach, FL, March 23, 2013 - (PR.com) - In a continued effort to give back to the South Shore area, the Keller Williams Realty's South Shore Market Center Team is sponsoring its 6th Annual Walk-A-Thon to benefit The Lord's Lighthouse Ministry, a non-profit organization that assists over 1,200 local families living on the edge of poverty.

"We believe in supporting the community that we live and work in," said Team Leader Gary Kaukonen. “The April 13th event is one of many ways of saying thanks and showing our appreciation to friends, neighbors, clients and the community in general.”

Registration and Warm-Up will start at 8:30 a.m., at The Lord's Lighthouse location at 815 East College Avenue behind St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Ruskin, with the Walk-A-Thon beginning at 9:00 a.m. The three-mile trek will be down E. College Ave and back, returning to The Lord's Lighthouse Mission for fellowship and refreshments.

The Lord's Lighthouse Ministry has been assisting the area needy for the last four years in Ruskin, regardless of ethnicity, religion and social background. Homeless and victims of domestic violence and or child abuse are seen by a professional staff with ample experience. People in need of emergency assistance with food, clothing and crisis intervention, are also seen at the Mission. The Lord's Lighthouse is part of the Children and Families ACCESS network that provides help with Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and Food Stamps requests.
