New Zinga Frozen Yogurt Opens in Kings Park Shopping Center in Northern Virginia
Local franchisee opening “World’s Best Frozen Yogurt” in popular center.
Burke, VA (PRWEB) April 08, 2013 - The newest Zinga Frozen Yogurt store has opened at Northern Virginia’s vibrant Kings Park Shopping Center with Grand Opening events to benefit two local organizations.
The new store is owned and managed by Zinga franchisee Joy Clark Higbie and is located at 8942 Burke Lake Road, Burke, VA. Store hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Phone: (703) 865-8094. The new store will raise funds for the Burke Athletic Club April 13-15 and Lake Braddock Secondary School April 16-20.
“I’m a product of the local schools and believe in giving back to the community,” said Higbie who lived in the Kings Park and Kings Park West subdivisions growing up. “Each month we plan to select a charity or organization for our ‘Change 4 Charity’ collections at the register.”
“We only use the freshest ingredients,” said Higbie. “Yogurt is a nutrient-dense food that meets a wide variety of nutritional needs at every stage of life.”
Zinga reminded consumers last month, National Nutrition Month, that Zinga’s basic offerings of frozen yogurt, fresh fruit and nuts can help promote weight loss, as suggested by a 2011 Harvard study.
Zinga Frozen Yogurt is self-serve and is sold by the ounce. The store will offer at least a dozen yogurt flavors a day (including fat free and low fat) and more than 50 toppings. There will be dairy free options including sorbets as well as no sugar-added flavors. Look for two Greek yogurt flavors to come, says Higbie.
All of Zinga’s yogurt flavors meet the National Yogurt Association’s criteria for “live and active culture yogurt.”
