Window Genie Opens New Franchise in Apopka, FL

Michael Cranston will open his doors for business on April 8th. Before entering the world of franchising he served in the Military during Desert Storm, then managed box retailers for 20 years. "I was losing more and more family time, so decided I wanted to be my own boss to regain the work/life balance I was missing," said Cranston. After doing a bit of research on his own, Cranston decided the service industry was where he was most interested. "Window Genie kept reappearing during my discovery process as a front runner," Cranston said. "It was clearly a small business growing steadily with a great reputation. I wanted to be part of something I could be successful with and grow with."

Cranston worked with Window Genie's Regional Developer for Florida, Scott Chester. Cranston said, "Scott was never out to sell me on Window Genie. He really wanted to teach me about Window Genie from the business model to the history and culture of the company. I appreciated how much time he put in to get to know me; we discussed strengths, weaknesses and goals to determine if Window Genie was the right fit for me to be happy and successful as a business owner." Cranston also spoke with Window Genie's Founder and CEO, Rik Nonelle during his discovery process. "To know that a company's Founder and CEO was so involved and so passionate really solidified my decision to go with Window Genie. He encouraged me to contact him directly when I had questions or concerns, and emphasized the support his corporate staff offered to all franchisees. He really loves what he does, helping people build their business and be successful."

Aside from being his own boss and creating his own success, Cranston is excited for another aspect of opening a business where he lives. "I'm excited to watch my baby, my business, grow. Much like I watched my own children grow. I'm excited to do something like this that can provide job opportunities for people in my area as the business continues to grow."
