MLB Alumni players, Atlanta Falcons Players, Local News Casters and UGA Cheerleaders are just a few of the Local Celebrities that will be taking your order at the Mellow Mushroom in Gainesville on Thursday night to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Gainesville, GA (PRWEB) April 09, 2013 - Thursday, April 11th, beginning at 6 p.m., several local celebrities will be taking over the server shifts at the Mellow Mushroom in Gainesville located at 700 Green Street. This year will mark the 3rd year that Mellow Mushroom has put together this charity event where a portion of proceeds benefit the Edmonson-Telford Center for Children in Gainesville.

“Mellow Mushroom started this Celebrity Server Night Charity event 3 years ago after partnering with the Edmonson-Telford Center for Children as a way to give back to the community and in order to do our part to raise awareness of the horrible issue of child abuse during April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Month,” states Mellow Mushroom Owner, Heather Bush. The Edmondson?Telford Center provides services to Hall and Dawson County residents under the age of 18 who are victims of sexual or severe physical abuse or neglect as well as their non?offending family members.

Beginning at 6 p.m., all celebrity server tips will be donated to the Edmonson-Telford Center for Children, along with 20% of the sales from that evening. Other proceeds that will be available for contribution include those from a $20 T-shirt fundraiser and from a raffle for a flat screen television.

Some of the local celebrities that will be taking your order include MLB Alum Phil Niekro, Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman Peter Konz, defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi, defensive end Cliff Matthews, and a few other Atlanta Falcons familiar faces like Corey Peters, Brady Ewing, Dominique Franks, Corey Hulsey and Dewey McClain. Buck Lanford from Fox News along with UGA Cheerleaders are just a few of the others from this incredible lineup of celebrity servers.
