Father and Son Team Open New Fresh Coat Location in West Indianapolis

Buying a Fresh Coat franchise was an investment in his family’s future – his youngest son, Adam, serves a vital role as he provides most of the quotes, and acts as the client service manager. Gary’s wife Pam is also an integral part of the team.

A recent graduate of Purdue University, Adam said that working in the painting industry is familiar territory. “I grew up around the construction business, so everything I learned about the industry, I learned from my Dad,” he noted. “I’m doing about 85 percent of the quotes and following up with the painters and making sure that our customers are satisfied.”

“We officially launched on January 25 – that was the start of the Indiana Home & Garden Show, with 100,000 people in attendance. We also participated in the Indiana Flower & Patio Show,” Adam said. Those two events generated a tremendous amount of leads and word-of-mouth business and the father-and-son duo quickly found themselves in need of an experienced painter.

“The first painter we hired had years of experience in residential and commercial painting and he’s worked out beautifully. We have hired a second painter and we’re now pursuing painter number three,” Gary observed.

“It has been exciting and fast paced,” Gary said. “We’re extremely happy and looking forward to growing.”
