Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers in Brookhaven to Host Fundraiser Assisting in Supplying Soldiers Serving in Afghanistan, Saturday, April 20th

By bringing in specified breakfast items on the 20th for soldiers in Afghanistan, earn 15% off of total bill.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 17, 2013 - Saturday, April 20th, beginning at 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., Mellow Mushroom, in the Brookhaven neighborhood in Atlanta, is hosting a fundraiser supporting the troops serving in the 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan by supplying breakfast items to help them with a “third meal.”

“This fundraiser is in an effort to provide breakfast items for soldiers serving in Afghanistan—to assist with helping them have a third meal,” states Meredith Burleigh, Assistant General Manager for Mellow Brookhaven.

From 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., those who drop off at least one of the necessary items needed for this donation will receive 15% off of their total bill during this time. Items needed include muscle milk, protein shakes, carnation breakfast shakes, protein and cereal bars, individually packaged blueberry muffins, cereal-in-a-cup with individually boxed milk and non-perishable breakfast foods. Other non-culinary items that would be appreciated include handwritten notes and books.

“This fundraiser was created by the parents of an old employee, who now serves in the 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan. What a great way to contribute to those who serve so graciously for the U.S.A. and to raise awareness of this current issue U.S. soldiers face!” states Burleigh.
