Regional Dunkin’ Donuts Restaurants Make it Simple for Guests to Contribute to the One Fund Boston

Two Thousand Dunkin’ Donuts Restaurants in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine to Collect Donations
Dunkin' Brands Donates $100,000 to the One Fund Boston to Help Victims of Boston Marathon Incident

April 18, 2013 // Franchising.com // CANTON, MA - Dunkin' Brands, the parent company of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, today announced that starting early next week approximately 2,000 participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine will collect donations from guests, starting at $1, to be distributed to The One Fund Boston.

In addition to the week-long collection from guests, Dunkin’ Brands will make a $100,000 donation to The One Fund Boston, a central fund announced by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, to support families of those impacted by Monday’s tragic events at the Boston Marathon.

In the days following the explosions, Dunkin' Brands franchisees have worked to support emergency workers in the community, including sending trucks to serve coffee and hot chocolate.

“We are an organization with proud Boston roots, and our hearts are with those who were affected by the events at the Boston Marathon,” said Nigel Travis, CEO of Dunkin’ Brands. “We hope the donation to The One Fund Boston will help victims and their families during this difficult time.”
