Eco-Friendly Car Wrap Unveiled

Today, the company has 600 stores across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and continues to grow around the globe. The company launched retail stores in Africa last year. Celebrating its anniversary in North America, Cartridge World unveiled a new car wrap design to promote its expanded line of home and office printing products and recycling.

Complementing Cartridge World’s line of eco-friendly ink and toner printer cartridges, the car uses the 3M® Envision™ Wrap Films, new graphic materials that are friendly to the environment.

“Cartridge World is meeting an enormous demand for cost-effective and sustainable printing products,” said William Swanson, North American CEO. “We are reducing the impact on the environment with remanufactured ink and toner, and we support local recycling programs that help businesses, schools and customers reduce their carbon footprint.” Noting the company plans to wrap 100 cars by the end of the year, Swanson added, “We’re reinforcing Cartridge World’s green products and local recycling solutions. We recycled more than 4.5 million printer cartridges last year.”

The new 3M films include bio-based manufacturing materials and exclude certain harmful chemicals, such as phthalates and halogen (which are the foundation of most plastics). The films also use 60 percent less solvent, which decreases chemical exposure. When printed with water-based inks, the Cartridge World car wrap is the most sustainable graphic solution on the market.
