Hurricane Grill & Wings® Rounds out Quarter One with Record Growth

Since January, the casual-dining chain has celebrated the opening of their 50th restaurant in Minnetonka, MN, along with their first ever Alabama and Maryland locations. In addition to monumental openings, the year began with three large franchise agreements, which puts the company on track to open over 20 restaurants in 2013, with new locations in: Maryland, Alabama, Florida, Texas, Minnesota, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia and New York.

In 2012, Hurricane Grill & Wings finished its fourth straight year of same-store-sales growth of over five percent with an additional 28 percent corporate growth and nearly 31 percent enterprise growth. The company’s first quarter signified a strong start for 2013, on track for another record-breaking year. A major driving force behind Hurricane Grill & Wings’ rapid expansion is its recently announced $10 million in financing for new and existing franchisees. The funds, provided by Mount Pleasant Capital, have opened up new opportunities for franchising and encouraged business owners to invest in a successful system. Another key partnership that has helped the brand’s growth is Boefly, an online marketplace that gives current and potential owners access to over 22,000 banks bidding for the business of franchisees. As an approved member of the Small Business Association, our current franchisees also have access to excellent resources to help them operate their restaurants. Not only are franchise sales at an all time high, but the company has a total of 187 franchise commitments to be developed over the next six years, thus ensuring a bright future for the brand.
