Window Genie of Overland Park Donates to Mom's Day 5K Benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City

Craig Apple and his team at Window Genie Overland Park donated a $250 Window Genie gift certificate to the raffle at Mom's Day 5K benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) May 10, 2013 - Window Genie is the nationally ranked home service franchise known to, "Clean Windows and a Whole Lot More!" Window Genie is also known for window tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and giving back to the community through their give-back program, Windows 4 Wishes.

In Kansas City on May 11th, Plan Ahead Events will host their first annual "Mom's Day 5K" to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. The 5K Route will be located at Indian Creek Trail, 103rd and Marty in Overland Park, KS. The race begins at 8:00am. Craig Apple, owner of Window Genie Overland Park, has chosen to participate through donating a $250 Window Genie gift certificate to the raffle at this event.

Apple said of his participation, "Ronald McDonald House has always been a favorite charity of mine. In the past, we have sponsored Easter parties and egg hunts for the kids at our local Ronald McDonald. It’s amazing to me to see how easy it is to make those kids smile in spite of what may be a terminal illness they are suffering from. They are true heroes in my book and have an enormous amount of courage as do their families. Ronald McDonald House makes a huge difference in the lives of both seriously ill children and their families. They take a lot of the day-to-day logistical worries off the families’ plates and allow them to focus on getting their child well."
