ZippyU - College Summer Storage Explodes for Zippy Shell

(“Zippy Shell?”) - Zippy Shell USA, LLC announced today that in its inaugural year of ZippyU demand significantly exceeded initial expectations. The response from participating universities was strong but the demand from schools not included in the pilot program was stronger. 

Launched only a few months ago, ZippyU was designed to address the needs of the fastest growing demographic in the storage industry: college students. Initially the program was being test-piloted at four notable universities in North Carolina. However, through word of mouth and social media, news of ZippyU quickly spread across the country. Now Zippy Shell’s college student storage is up over 300% compared to the same time last year.

According to Rick Del Sontro, President of Zippy Shell USA, LLC, “We knew that ZippyU would be a success, but we didn’t anticipate the immediate demand. Clearly both students and parents alike were looking for a convenient, affordable storage solution for summer storage. We have heard from so many parents who have thanked us for saving them time, money and stress.”

Eric Delgado, Chief Operating Officer at Zippy Shell Storage Operations, LLC stated, “we had no plans for offering ZippyU in other markets this year. When we were inundated with requests from both parents and students we had no choice but to make it available in the markets we service.” Delgado added, “Our student storage business has increased over 600% from the same time last year! To say they love our offering is an understatement.”
