Window Genie of Northwest Georgia is Under New Management

Window Genie, the leader in home services, has been serving the greater Dalton, GA area since 2011. The business was recently sold to new owners, Blair and Belinda Lavelle.

He spent the early part of his professional life working for his father’s carpet manufacturing business. For the following 23 years he worked in management and engineering for an American textile company. He says this deepened his passion for American innovation, and after experiencing two layoffs in 5 years decided he was done with the instability of working for others. His dream of owning a business became a realistic goal so he began his search for the perfect match. Lavelle worked with Bruce Krebs, franchise coach with The Entrepreneur’s Source. Krebs introduced Lavelle to Brad Roberson, Regional Developer for Window Genie. After discussing and weighing in his strengths, weaknesses and goals, Lavelle’s wife, Krebs and Roberson encouraged him to consider buying an existing Window Genie franchise.

Lavelle was drawn to Window Genie’s system-wide support system, marketing efforts and multiple revenue streams. Also, in his particular case, buying an existing franchise meant it came along with an existing customer base right off the bat. Lavelle said, “With quite a few relationships and reoccurring customers already established, we substantially cut down the time it takes to make a profit starting out.”
