Interim HealthCare Waives Complete Franchise Fee for Veteran

Home Care Company Known for “Continuum of Care” Model Salutes Veterans with Special Offer

May 22, 2013 // Franchising.com // SUNRISE, Fla. – Interim HealthCare, a leading national home care, hospice and healthcare staffing franchise, announced today that it will waive the franchise fee for the first qualifying military veteran joining the franchise network this year. The total savings a veteran can realize is $40,000.

“Home healthcare is an intense 24/7 business and our network of franchisees embrace that work ethic daily,” Kathleen Gilmartin, President and CEO of Interim HealthCare said. “Veterans of the military are dependable, tenacious and conscientious, all characteristics that fit perfectly with our culture of caring and excellence. I’m thrilled to help one of our veterans live the dream of becoming an Interim HealthCare franchisee by waiving our franchise fee.”

Interim HealthCare has been providing healthcare to Americans in their own homes since 1966 but home healthcare is even more relevant today with evolving healthcare regulations and mandates. Additionally, as Baby Boomers reach retirement age there is a burgeoning number of people wanting to receive healthcare services in the comfort of their own homes. Interim HealthCare is the only network of home healthcare franchises positioned to offer a continuum of care from personal care and support, to skilled nursing and then all the way to in-home hospice.

This offering announced today is above and beyond Interim HealthCare’s participation in "Operation Enduring Opportunity," a program developed by the International Franchise Association (IFA) with a goal "to hire as team members and recruit as franchise business owners 75,000 veterans and military spouses and 5,000 wounded warriors by 2014." Since 2011, there have been more than 64,000 veterans who have launched their careers in franchising. Veteran’s programs including VetFran, developed by the IFA, have becoming increasingly important opportunities for war heroes to re-enter the civilian workforce. Interim has participated in the VetFran program for a number of years.

Interim HealthCare has nearly five decades in the healthcare industry. Largely due to the high level of support and other benefits associated with the company’s longevity, franchisees enjoy an unusually long average tenure of 18 years although some owners have been in the system more than 30 years. A video with franchisee feedback is available here. Franchise opportunities are available throughout the country. Qualified candidates should possess a minimum net worth of $400,000, and a minimum liquidity of $50,000. Franchisees can expect their initial investment to range from approximately $115,500 to $188,500 including the franchise fee.
