Great American Cookies and 32 Degrees a Yogurt Bar Selects Gonzales, Louisiana for Newest Opening

New-in-town Pizitz Management Group's frozen yogurt and cookie store opens first Louisiana location.

Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) May 22, 2013 - Pizitz Management Group, the largest Great American Cookies franchisee and owner of 32 Degrees, a self-serve frozen yogurt bar, has announced the opening of its first combination store location in the state of Louisiana in Gonzales. To celebrate its arrival into Gonzales, they will host a grand opening fundraising event offering customers special deals and fun events, on May 29th.

32 Degrees and Great American Cookies opened its doors on May 5 in the Tanger Outlet Center located at 2410 South Tanger Boulevard. To celebrate its arrival, they will be hosting a grand opening event on May 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A $5.00 donation at the door benefiting the American Cancer Society will not only allow customers a taste of the 100 pound cookie cake that will be built that morning, but also allow them to enjoy one cup of frozen yogurt and toppings of their choice. Mayor Barney Arceneaux will conduct the official ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. and Cookie Man will be at the event as a treat for children of all ages. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

“We are thrilled to be opening our first dual-concept store in Louisiana in the Gonzales community,” said Jenny Buha, Director of Development and Marketing for Pizitz Management Group. “We want to come into the market with a bang and give customers a taste of what we are all about.”

“Our store will offer freshly baked treats to include cookies, cookie cakes and brownies as well as a full frozen yogurt bar with 8 flavors of yogurt and over 50 toppings and sauces. We have also brought our Twister machine to our Gonzales store,” continued Mrs. Buha. “The Twister allows customers to create their own frozen, blended treat. We use our special Twister cup and fill it up with whatever yogurt and toppings they would like. Then, they bring it to the counter where a sales associate twists it up for them. There is no additional charge for a Twister – just a cool way to enjoy our delicious yogurt and toppings!”

Birthdays, holidays and special events are a big part of both 32 Degrees and Great American Cookies. “We are excited to celebrate with our customers at our new location. In addition to our signature, custom-decorated Cookie Cakes, customers and their guests will also have the option to create-their-own delicious treats with our self-serve frozen yogurt bar,” continued Mrs. Buha.

“We were very confident that the 32 Degrees concept would work, partly because we knew we could create a concept that would allow us to become a big player in the category,” Pizitz said. “Add in our company’s quarter century of experience in the cookie business and we could see that it is a fairly easy concept to operate. You’re basically dealing with making one product, and customers serve themselves. That’s not a complex operational plan and customers love the ’create-your-own’ experience.

“We don’t want franchisees to fail,” added Pizitz. “Our responsibility is to help them become successful, which will in turn make us successful. Through our long history as a franchisee with Great American Cookies, we have learned what franchisees want and need for the highest opportunity for success.”
