Fitness kickboxing franchise iLoveKickboxing.com began their first annual 45-Day Body Transformation Contest on May 19, 2013. Over 1,500 of the franchise's members entered, and first place receives a $5,000 cash prize.

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 29, 2013 - Fitness kickboxing franchise iLoveKickboxing.com launched their first annual 45-Day Body Transformation Contest on May 19. The contest received over 1,500 registrants who are all members of licensed and franchised iLoveKickboxing.com locations throughout the world.

"There are some great cash prizes," stated an executive at iLoveKickboxing.com. "But whether or not contestants win these prizes, they walk away fitter, healthier and more toned than when they started. That's what this thing is really all about: giving our members an extra 'boost' of motivation to get them even more fired up about reaching their fitness and weight loss goals."

The prizes are as follows:

First place receives $5,000, second place, $1,000, third place, $500, fourth through sixth places, $200, seventh through tenth places, $100. Members are judged on three main categories: number of pounds lost in the 45-day period, change in physical appearance, and personal transformations that they encountered.

For the appearance category, members take a picture of themselves before beginning the contest, and one after the contest ends. For the personal transformation category, members each record a video talking about any challenges they faced, what kept them motivated throughout the contest, obstacles or issues that they overcame to reach the end of the contest, and anything else they encountered on a mental-emotional level to make it through the contest.

"Weight loss is NOT the primary category being judged here!" stated an executive at iLoveKickboxing.com. "That wouldn't be fair. After all, everyone who joins the contest has a certain amount of weight that their bodies can healthily lose. Someone with more weight to lose can lose more pounds faster. That means, potentially, someone with a powerful story can win over someone who lost more pounds."
