Painting Franchise Announces Details for 5K Run to Support Military Veterans

May 30, 2013 // Franchising.com // Sewell, NJ. - CertaPro Painters®, the largest painting company in North America, is proud to announce the second annual CertaPro Painters “Run For Our Troops” to support Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) on Saturday, June 15 at 9 a.m. in Washington Lake Park in Sewell. All proceeds from the 5K walk/run will go to support HFOT, a charity dedicated to building homes specifically designed to accommodate the special needs of severely wounded veterans.

This year, Ray and Susanne Breitwieser, CertaPro franchisees of the Garden State, are hosting the event.

“We are so looking forward to our second annual ‘Run For Our Troops’ event,” said Ray. “Last year CertaPro Painters of the Greater Philadelphia area donated more than $7,000 from the event, and we hope to raise the bar even higher this year.”

The Breitwiesers are part of a larger co-op group of CertaPro franchise owners throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. The group hopes to raise enough money this year to build a home for a local disabled veteran.

Participants will be able to run or walk the 5K with a donation of $25. A Fun Run with Bristles®, CertaPro’s official mascot, will also be held for the kids with a donation of $10. Each runner will receive a t-shirt, and all proceeds from the event will help a disabled veteran receive a home in the local community.
