Deborah Gauthier Receives Recognition, Advanced Real Estate Training at National Convention

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (PRWEB) May 30, 2013 - Deborah Gauthier, broker and sales specialist with United Country – Resort Realty of Playa Jaco, Costa Rica, was named international director of United Country’s Resort Specialty Property Group Division.

Gauthier’s duties in this role will be to consult with other United Country offices and provide suggestions, information and approaches to working with both luxury and resort sellers and developers.

“I’m looking forward to assisting my fellow United Country team members in figuring out which avenue suits their sellers and show them how to deliver United Country expertise with our wide array of tools – be it marketing, traditional listings or auction,” Gauthier said. “Helping other United Country offices win important luxury and resort listings is my goal and focus.”

Gauthier’s new position was recognized at the United Country’s annual training and awards convention in Fort Worth, Texas, from March 26 through the 28. The three-day conference brought together franchisees, managers and partners from across the nation, Costa Rica, Panama and resort areas of Mexico for advanced educational seminars, networking events and an awards banquet. Classes focused on new real estate technology, advanced marketing, listing strategies, farm and ranch management, agent tools for success and more. In addition, attendees also learned the latest techniques for conducting successful real estate auctions and participated in a high-energy Specialty Property Networking & Referral session.

Also at the conference, the 2012 results were announced showing another year of dramatic sales increases for United Country, resulting in a 27.6-percent increase in annual sales volumes versus 2011.

“While we are pleased by a solid performance for the 2012 calendar year, we are especially excited about our growth in closed sales of larger ‘investment grade’ farm, ranch, recreational and timberland properties with sale values ranging from $1 million to $50 million,” said Dan Duffy, chief executive officer for United Country Real Estate. “In addition to this over 40 percent increase in land sales, we have seen a resurgence in sales of residential homes in the smaller city and towns we serve, which grew by over 12 percent. We also viewed large gains in residential auction sales – 41 percent better than 2011 – as this marketing method continues to gain in popularity.”
