Elevation Burger Signs Two New Deals
Organic Beef Burger Chain Headed to Wyomissing, PA., and Houston
May 31, 2013 // Franchising.com // Arlington, VA – Elevation Burger, the country’s first 100% organic beef burger chain, recently signed two new franchising deals in the cities of Wyomissing, Pa., and Houston. With 39 stores in operation, the company is expanding worldwide with the help of franchise development partner Fransmart, who has developed territories across the United States and the Middle East.
Wyomissing franchisees Gary and Sue Binasiewicz were introduced to the concept by a friend and loved the green, environmentally friendly theme of the restaurants. They both said, “We were convinced of the concept after we went to visit the closest location in Collegeville, Pa. We try to watch what we eat, but everybody loves a good burger and fries.“
The Binasiewicz, who are hoping to secure a shopping center site for their location, are small business owners who both have experience in the restaurant industry serving in various roles. Their other business, a carpet cleaning business based out of Reading, Pa., is also known for taking innovative steps towards being environmentally responsible.
United Food Concepts, the franchisee that will be developing three units in the Houston area, is a multi-unit operator of varied businesses in the United States and Canada.
Elevation Burger offers the best-tasting, better-for-you burger, which – as the franchisees say – “speaks for itself in terms of the way you feel after finishing a meal there.” They recently became the first fast casual food franchise to join the Organic Trade Association and are setting the bar for fast casual restaurants in terms of putting people, planet and product ahead of profit.
About Elevation Burger
Elevation Burger prides itself on an “elevated” experience and a fresh approach. The franchised chain offers many healthier alternatives to standard fast food choices, including two variations of a veggie burger, lettuce-wrapped burgers, unprocessed six-month-aged cheddar cheese, and cookies made with organic butter and eggs. Elevation Burger is also the only better burger restaurant to feature organic, hardwood-smoked uncured bacon on its menu.
Elevation Burger has been recognized by Saveur magazine as the nation's first organic hamburger chain since opening its original location in 2005. It has also been recognized as one of the most innovative burger chains in the country, with AOL Small Business calling Elevation Burger the “Next Big Chain,” and The Food Channel dubbing it one of the “up and comers” in the better burger category. There are currently 39 Elevation Burger locations throughout the U.S. and Middle East.
