(HTZ), is pleased to announce the expansion of its Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental brands in Europe. Since February 2013, the company has opened 114 corporate locations in France, Spain and Luxembourg with 22 more scheduled to open in Spain in the coming weeks. Additionally, the Company re-acquired the Dollar and Thrifty brand rights from Benelux franchise partner, 24 Mobility, and will open nine locations in Belgium and the Netherlands under corporate ownership by the end of June.
Many of the new Dollar and Thrifty stores are located in key leisure destinations for European travelers. These include an in-terminal presence at the Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Orly (ORY) and Nice (NCE) airports in France as well as the Malaga (AGP) and Barcelona (BCN) airports in Spain. The company has plans for continued growth, through both corporate and franchise location openings, in additional European countries in the coming months.
