June 03, 2013 // Franchising.com // JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nationwide restaurant chain Firehouse Subs plans to open 52 restaurants targeting the areas of St. Louis, Jefferson City and Columbia, Mo., Southeastern Illinois and Paducah, Ky. Renowned for hearty, oversized portions and steaming hot subs, Firehouse Subs is a 600-plus fast casual restaurant chain founded in Jacksonville, Fla., by former firefighting brothers Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen. The region’s first Firehouse Subs restaurant debuted April 2012 in Chesterfield, Mo., with four more openings since, and plans for a nine-year total market build-out are underway.
Setting each town ablaze with new restaurants is Area Representative Michael Domico. More than three years with Firehouse Subs, and 30 years working with quick service and fast casual brands, arm Domico to expand the Firehouse Subs brand. Domico joined the Firehouse Subs family in 2010 as a franchise business manager. As area representative, Domico intends to turn Greater St. Louis into a thriving Firehouse Subs franchise territory.
