Massage Envy Spa Announces Expansion Plans For Alabama And Florida Panhandle

Nation's Largest Massage Therapy Franchise to Develop at least 23 New Clinics

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - June 3, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Massage Envy Spa, the pioneer and national leader of professional, convenient and affordable massage and spa services, announced today plans to expand in Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. Massage Envy Spa is seeking franchisees in the areas of Auburn, Ala. and Fort Walton Beach, Fla. to develop at least 23 new clinics over the next several years.

"Expanding off of the great success we've seen in Alabama and Florida, we are excited to be bringing additional Massage Envy Spa locations to residents across these states," said Bob Conklin , Massage Envy Spa regional developer for Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. "As we continue to grow, we are looking for entrepreneurs who want to start their own business with the support of a very successful and rewarding business model."

Bob Conklin began his career back in 2006 after visiting with his brother Dennis who is the Regional Developer for San Diego. Conklin saw an opportunity to expand the brand into Florida, and has since opened nine locations and sold 12. To fuel further expansion in Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, Conklin is actively seeking qualified franchisees in the region.

"When looking for a new business opportunity, I didn't even consider any other concepts," added Conklin. "The support and structure of the Massage Envy Spa brand surpasses any other, and the corporate executive team has continued to prove that their business model is a successful one."

Today, there are more than 880 Massage Envy Spa locations in 47 states, making it the largest system of franchised massage clinics in the industry. The company also is the world's largest employer of licensed/registered massage therapists with at least 21,000 therapists providing over 16 million massages a year to a total of more than 1.3 million members.

Over the next several years, Massage Envy Spa is seeking to expand across the country. To fuel this growth, the company is looking for specific franchisee candidates who have the ability and the desire to learn and follow a system that ensures value and customer satisfaction. Qualified franchisee candidates should have business sales or management experience, but do not necessarily need to have a massage therapy or spa operations background. They also should possess a minimum net worth of $500,000 and liquid assets of at least $150,000.

Depending on the real estate, Massage Envy Spa franchisees can expect their initial investment to range from approximately $331,485 – $825,623, including the franchisee fee.
