June 05, 2013 // Franchising.com // ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. - LaVida Massage, a unique concept in the health and wellness franchise business providing therapeutic massage and skin care services for the family, is expanding in Florida with the opening of its first location in the greater South Florida area in Royal Palm Beach. This new opening marks the second LaVida wellness center in the state of Florida.
The new center, located at 129 South State Road 7 in the Publix/Lowe’s shopping center at the southwest corner of the Southern Boulevard intersection, is slated to open June 3. It is a 3,000 square foot facility and features 15 rooms including those dedicated to regular massage, couples’ massage and skin care.
Owned and operated by Wellington resident, Patti Gilliano, who maintains a passion for wellness, Gilliano adds to the LaVida Massage philosophy with her franchise by bringing both her personal and professional expertise in the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to the LaVida Massage model.
“The business of health and wellness has always played a significant role in my lifestyle routine. After spending 28 years in the nursing field and previously managing a health club and teaching aerobics classes, I am familiar with the health benefits of massage therapy and LaVida enables me to provide these wellness therapies to others,” says Gilliano.
LaVida Massage is built upon the tenants to meet the needs of both men and women with community-oriented wellness centers, and the Royal Palm Beach opening is no exception. The center provides a number of massage therapy services and products including Swedish, couples’ deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, chair, corporate, sports and even oncological sessions—all performed by licensed and highly trained therapists.
“The LaVida Massage franchise appealed to me based on its dedicated mission to deliver holistic wellness through the benefits of therapeutic massage. LaVida Massage is a well-run business, providing highly customer-focused and affordable quality services that differentiate us from others in the massage therapy industry,” Gilliano says. “I’m extremely excited to open my LaVida location in the South Florida market—the Wellington community is the perfect fit for LaVida with our contribution to overall wellbeing in what is already a community committed to healthy lifestyles.”
In addition to contributing to healthy living, Gilliano is adding jobs to the area and is actively looking to fill a number of therapist, skin care specialist, sales, marketing and front desk staff positions. Frequent massage therapy sessions have been proven time and again to benefit the health with increased blood circulation, enhanced sleep quality, greater energy levels, improved concentration, reduced fatigue and stress, decreased anxiety, enhanced immunity, improved body motion, reduced heart rate and injury rehabilitation. And yet, research has shown that many people have never had a massage.
Founded in 2007 in Commerce, Mich., LaVida Massage, is a thriving massage and wellness center for the family with more than 50 franchise locations throughout 20 states and abroad, and over 10 more centers set to open nationwide in 2013. As more Americans seek the valuable benefits that therapeutic massage provides, LaVida Massage continues to expand to meet the demand for this growing health service industry.
