Deptford, N.J., Don Pablo’s Receives Rita's 'Restaurant of the Year' Award

Deptford, NJ. - June 1, 2013 - Rita Restaurant Corp., parent company of Don Pablo's restaurants, awarded the Don Pablo's located at 1860 Deptford Center Road in Deptford, N.J., with the company's 2012 "Restaurant of the Year" award.

The winning restaurant was selected based on the team's hard work, passion for guest satisfaction and ability to work together. At the restaurant's all-staff meeting on April 27, 2013, Paul Seidman, president and CEO of Rita Restaurants, presented the award, which included a $6,200 bonus to be split among hourly team members, a trophy and commemorative t-shirts and hats.

"We were happy to celebrate and recognize the Deptford team with this coveted award," Seidman said. "The entire staff really exemplified what hospitality means, and their dedication led to the restaurant's success in sales and other key performance metrics."

In 2012, the restaurant led Don Pablo's restaurants in quality inspections and was the leader in same-store sales, among many other accomplishments. John Scharpf, managing partner, and managers Brandy Ickes, Joe Ferrero and Sharon Asmussen lead the Deptford team, which was also mentored and coached by Area Director Jim Collins.

The Beavercreek, OH, White Marsh, MD, and Mt. Laurel, NJ, restaurants received honorable mentions for the 2012 award.
