Menchie’s Rolls Out New Character Spoon

Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Brand Announces Cow Themed Campaign

ENCINO, Calif. - June 11, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - The wait is over…a new Menchie’s character spoon has arrived! North America’s largest self-serve frozen yogurt franchise released their limited edition cow character spoon, Mookie, sure to make fans “udderly” excited! The recyclable spoon is part of Menchie’s latest campaign, “From Moo to You”, which puts a spotlight on their “happy” California cows and highlights the yogurt-making process from cow to cup.

In the “From Moo to You” story, Mookie takes fans on a whimsical journey to Menchie’s dairy farm to show why “happy” cows not injected with artificial hormones are the key ingredient to Menchie’s smiley cups of frozen yogurt.

“As the leader in the frozen dessert category, it is important that we continue to educate our guests on the nutritional aspects of the product,” said Karla Bendel, Vice President of Marketing and R&D at Menchie’s Group, Inc. “The campaign gives guests an inside look into the treatment of our cows, the ingredients we use and the passion that goes into every cup.”

Complementing the new spoon, Menchie’s is also introducing a cow-themed cup, a video showcasing their dairy and a new flavor Peachy Keen. Mookie Spoons are available now.

The company is a world-leader in ensuring best-in-class products and considers itself the ambassador of frozen yogurt quality worldwide. Guests can choose from premium rotating yogurt flavors and delicious toppings for unlimited combinations, ensuring happiness in every cup.

Menchie’s ensures that only the highest quality milk and flavors are used to make its frozen yogurt. The proprietary collection is made from the milk of “smiley” California cows, which have not been treated with artificial growth hormones (rBST). Menchie’s frozen yogurt contains live and active cultures and has received the Live and Active Culture (LAC) seal indicating its endorsement by the National Yogurt Association.
