PITTSBURGH - June 14, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Bowing to guests' requests, Bruster's Real Ice Cream has added three seasonal flavors to its line-up of made-on-site premium frozen treats. Through July, Bruster's will be scooping Black Raspberry and Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk ice cream made with real fruit. Peach, with its fresh, off-the-tree taste, will complete the limited-time trio.
Black Raspberry has real black raspberries mixed into its refreshing flavored base. Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk adds loads of creamy milk chocolate into every bite. Each tastes great when served in a freshly baked waffle cone, in a cup, as a sundae or in a shake.
Contemporary ice cream flavors support Bruster's recently announced revitalization strategy to make the brand a customer destination throughout the year. Entertaining presentations, a new, upbeat environment with indoor seating, an innovative new product line and an attractive franchise recruitment program will maintain the brand's local ice cream shop appeal, while expanding its presence in the U.S. and internationally.
“Bruster’s customers eagerly await the return of warm weather,” said Mike Branigan, vice president of Marketing and Product Innovation. “Introducing consumer-tested flavors more frequently throughout the year will give them a great reason to visit more often during the shift to a 'Four Seasons' strategy.”
“Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders, Today” serves as Bruster's foundation and business platform. At its 200 locations in 18 states and the nation of Guyana, up to 37 flavors of hand crafted ice cream, yogurt, sorbet, Italian Ice and sherbets are made fresh daily at each location. Children less than 40 inches tall receive free baby cones, there is an annual “PJ” Day where free waffle cones are given away and every day free "Doggie Sundaes" reward pets for bringing their owners to a location.
