New Squisito Pizza and Pasta Location Opens in Westfield Annapolis Mall

Squisito Pizza and Pasta has opened a new corporate location in the Westfield Annapolis Mall’s new Dining Café.

Annapolis, MD (PRWEB) June 20, 2013 - The new Dining Café at the Westfield Annapolis Mall is more than a food court, it’s a destination; and Squisito Pizza and Pasta is its anchor. Designed around an aquatic theme and featuring two salt-water aquariums built by the team at TANKED, an Animal Planet show, the new Dining Café is a welcome addition to a mall that previously lacked a central meeting area. The placement of Squisito Pizza and Pasta is by design; this fast-casual Italian restaurant concept features an extensive menuranging from salads to New York Style Pizza to authentic, Italian pasta dishes, and offers patrons much more than your typical food court. At Squisito, visitors can choose from a host of fresh, healthy foods prepared while they wait and served to them in the Café’s bright and engaging new dining area.

“The concept of the Dining Café was such a great opportunity, something we were not willing to pass up. Being involved in this cooperative not only extends our brand awareness, it also allows us to pool our efforts with some of the best marketing teams at Westfield, as well as our full-service location, 4 Seasons Grille Westfield,” said Michele DiMeo, Monte Restaurant Development Group COO/Director of Stores and President of Squisito Franchise Enterprises. When they were approached by the mall about bringing Squisito to the new Dining Café, the choice was easy, according to DiMeo: “This opportunity allows us to grow a larger footprint and gives us the ability to engage the community in ways that we had not had the opportunity to before.”

The Dining Café was formally unveiled on June 5th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the management team of the Westfield Annapolis Mall, owners and managers of the Dining Café concepts, and the Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce. Squisito Pizza and Pasta partnered with the Westfield Annapolis Mall to make this an event everyone would enjoy. Mall management provided music and activities for children, including chef hats and mini pizza boxes with paper pizzas inside for children to color; Squisito staff was on hand with samples, as well as small balls of dough for children who wanted to create their own “pizza.” But the fun doesn’t end there for Squisito and their pint-sized fans. Squisito Pizza and Pasta has partnered with Build-a-Bear, located adjacent to the Dining Café, to cater the numerous birthday parties that they host everyday. Designed as an inclusive meeting place, the New Dining Café boasts a large, comfortable seating area for business professionals to meet over lunch or friends to gather and catch up. A special seating area for families is located in front of Z Bounce, towards the back of the Café and includes a saltwater aquarium surrounded by special, kid-sized seating.

This new location at the Westfield Annapolis Mall is Squisito Pizza and Pasta’s 6th corporate location; in addition, they have a licensed location in Severn and a franchise location in Burtonsville, MD.
