Flippers Pizzeria Honors Service Men and Women on Independence Day with Free MyPie Specialty Pizzas

June 27, 2013 // Franchising.com // Orlando, FL - Flippers Pizzeria is celebrating Independence Day this year by honoring all service men and women in Central Florida. On Thursday, July 4th, all military veterans, as well as active military, police, firefighters, and EMTs are eligible to receive a free MyPie Specialty Pizza with the purchase of one drink when dining in at any participating Central Florida pizza location, as well as locations in The Villages and St. Petersburg.

According to Kelly Pfister, Marketing Director at Flippers Pizzeria, customers must present a valid service I.D. or be in uniform in order to receive theirfree MyPie Specialty Pizza.

“Our MyPie Specialty Pizzas are absolutely delicious,” said Pfister. “They’re our own version of July 4th fireworks—fresh from our kitchens, exploding with flavor—made with care for the people who serve our country and our community.”

“Our restaurants are perfect environments for celebrations,” said Ben Richardson, VP of Operations at Flippers Pizzeria. “Not only do we have deliciousfood with great customer service, we also feature flatscreen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and there’s even ice-cold beer on tap at selectlocations; all feature select wines and beers by the bottle.”

According to Richardson, customers can choose from a variety of MyPie Specialty Pizzas, including all-time favorites like the Steak Diablo and Quattro Fromaggio, as well as brand new menu additionslike the Arugula & Prosciutto Pizza and the Vesuvio, made with DOP-certified San Marzano tomatoes, Genoa salami, Italian sausage, and more. Of course, all of Flippers MyPie Pizzas are hand-prepared in the restaurants’ signature brick ovens.

Independence Day is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Numerous public events are planned throughout Central Florida this year, including the annual “Fireworks at the Fountain” event at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando and “Red Hot & Boom” at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.
