Dogtopia Continues Growth With New Colorado Regional Developer Agreement

Leading Dog Daycare Franchise Seeks Franchisees Throughout the Region

TYSONS CORNER, Va. - July 8, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Dogtopia, a leading national dog daycare, boarding and spa franchise, announced today it has signed a regional developer agreement with Randall Clark to expand in Colorado. This agreement is part of Dogtopia's aggressive growth strategy to expand to more than 400 locations across the U.S. and Canada over the next seven years.

Clark is currently seeking qualified franchise candidates to open 12-15 Dogtopia locations throughout the region. The company is targeting cities along the front range from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins, with a priority emphasis on the Denver metro area, Cherry Creek/ Washington Park, north to Boulder County/ Longmont and south to Castle Rock.

"We are very excited to join the Dogtopia franchise system at a time when the brand is poised for significant national growth, driven by strong executive leadership," said Randall Clark, Dogtopia Colorado regional developer. "We have already established a successful flagship location at the Highlands Ranch store and look forward to bringing our high quality dog daycare services to more communities in Colorado."

Clark has more than 27 years of extensive senior management and operational leadership experience in diverse areas of strategic corporate direction and implementation, marketing and business development, and investment banking. He is also past chairman of the Rocky Mountain Region for the World Presidents' Organization (WPO) and the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).

"Randall has the experience and enthusiasm needed to lead the expansion of Dogtopia in Colorado," said Amy Nichols, chief executive officer of Dogtopia. "As we continue to grow across North America with our regional developer model, it is critical to identify entrepreneurs like Randall who serve as local representatives for the brand and are focused on owning and managing a rapidly growing business."

Since Dogtopia launched in 2002, it has grown to 24 franchises and five company-owned locations nationwide. There are currently three regional developers representing 34 future Dogtopia locations. Dogtopia's design mirrors that of a chic, upscale spa. Laid out in a similar manner to a children's daycare facility, there are multiple playrooms to suit every dog's personality and size. In addition to daycare and boarding, Dogtopia also offers a spa, self-service dog wash and a boutique to pamper dogs of all shapes and sizes.
