South Beach Tanning Company's Conversion Program Expands to Tallahassee

Sun Dial Tanning Salons will convert to South Beach Tanning Company by the end of August.

Tallahassee, FL (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 - Brian Deen is South Beach Tanning Company's newest franchisee. Owner of Sun Dial Tanning Company in Tallahassee, FL, Brian is originally from Tampa. His grandfather emigrated there and opened two businesses; said Deen, “I guess you could say entrepreneurship is in the blood.” Mr. Deen moved to Tallahassee for school, and then decided to put down roots. He opened Sun Dial Tanning in 1996, but he decided to convert his salons to South Beach Tanning Company and has recently joined the franchise team there. “In order to grow in the market, I knew I needed to franchise,” Deen stated. Both of Brian’s locations are in Tallahassee, one across from Florida State University and the other on the Northeast side of town.

Originally, Brian surveyed three different brands, but South Beach Tanning stood out to him. “South Beach has the largest market share in Florida, and I knew I wanted to go with a Florida brand. They are the least corporate but the most structured franchise that I looked at, and I found their approach very appealing,” Brian reasoned.

Another appeal of this franchise: its name. “South Beach Tanning has great brand recognition in Florida, and I like the energy behind the name. Everyone in Florida knows South Beach. It’s fun, it’s exciting—it just has a good vibe about it,” stated Deen. His clientele, especially in his FSU location, consists largely of students from the Miami and Orlando area, as well; and the familiarity of the South Beach name is attractive to them. Sun Dial’s conversion to South Beach Tanning will mean more quality, higher-end equipment and choices for tanning with a better price point for its patrons. Once his salons are converted to the South Beach brand, they will offer 5 levels of state of the art equipment; they will also be the only salons in Tallahassee to feature Versapro, the latest in spray tanning technology. South Beach Tanning also has an exclusive arrangement with Devoted Creations, a company specializing in indoor tanning lotions and skincare, that Brian found very attractive. Devoted Creations gives a portion of its proceeds to Cardiac Kids Foundation of Florida, a children’s charity. “This meant a lot to me personally, and I really appreciated that South Beach chose to give back in this way,” said Brian.
