Education Franchise Hosts Global Short Story and Illustrated Story Book Contest for Chance to Win $10K

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J., - July 10, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Eye Level (www.myeyelevel.com), the global leader in self-directed learning for children, proudly announces the 21st Annual Literature Award, a worldwide event to spotlight and support aspiring authors of children's books. Eye Level is accepting submissions from July 1 through August 31 in the U.S.; participants will enter for a chance to win awards and prizes, including the global grand prize of $10,000 and a trip to South Korea.
To give amateur and professional writers and artists an opportunity to contribute to the literary community and reach children, the Eye Level Literature Award is looking for children's stories in the following categories:

  • Short Stories – Must be three to four double-spaced pages in length, and authors can submit up to three stories for consideration.
  • Illustrated Stories – Must be completely illustrated and contain at least one hand-drawn original piece. Joint creations by two or more will be accepted.

Two winners will be selected in each category, including a first place prize of $5,000 and second place prize of $3,000. All submissions will be judged by a panel from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators on content, style, grammar and originality. Winners will be announced in November and honored at an award ceremony in December.

The winning stories from the U.S. will be submitted to an international panel and automatically entered into the grand prize competition for a chance to win $10,000, which also includes an all-expense-paid trip for the winner and a guest to South Korea.

Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply and can be eligible for both categories. For more details on submission requirements and registration, visit: eyelevel.daekyobook.co.kr. Submissions can be sent to:
