Schools of Rock's 2013 AllStars Prepare to Hit the Road for a Cause

CHICAGO - July 15, 2013 // PRNewswire // - School of Rock is thrilled to announce that for a second straight year, they are teaming up with LOVE HOPE STRENGTH for their annual AllStars national benefit tour. The AllStars represent the top tier School of Rock talent and are scheduled to perform at festivals and venues including Lollapalooza, Gathering of the Vibes, Metro Chicago, Gramercy Theatre, and House of Blues Chicago to name a few.

The School of Rock launched their AllStars Program in 2006. Every year, each school holds a local AllStars audition. The most talented kids selected from each local School of Rock are submitted to a national panel of judges and are selected to represent the School of Rock as AllStars. The top 1.5 percent of School of Rock students nationwide are chosen for this prestigious honor. Acclaimed as some of the best young musicians in the world, the students have performed at Red Rocks, Lollapalooza, Hangout Music Fest, NAMM, Gathering of the Vibes, Austin City Limits, BB Kings and countless others.

"I am thrilled with the way our 2013 AllStars tour is shaping up. We have the privilege of playing on some of the most inspiring stages in the country this summer," said Catalano, CEO of School of Rock. "It is especially inspiring partnering with Love Hope Strength in support of their wonderful commitment to matching bone marrow donors with patients in need."

Driven by a purpose "to inspire kids to rock on stage and in life," the AllStars tour gives students the opportunity to perform at prestigious venues and festivals in front of thousands of fans, as well as make a difference in the lives of others. Students will help drive awareness for Love Hope Strength's GET ON THE LIST campaign beyond the stage by encouraging people to sign up to be a marrow donor with DKMS Americas. To date, the AllStars have added over 400 people to the list and have made six potentially life-saving bone marrow matches.

School of Rock students continuously participate in special events and activities year-round to help raise awareness and funding for charitable causes and partnered with LOVE HOPE STRENGTH on a recent program-wide song competition. Additionally, School of Rock is proud to announce SAE Institute as a sponsor of the 2013 AllStars Tour. Along the tour, the AllStars will be visiting SAE Institute to partake in some industry related workshops at their state of the art facilities in NYC and Chicago.
