Window Genie Announces a Grand Opening in Lexington, KY

Window Genie announces the newest additions to their team, Dave and Becky Copeland. The Copelands will open a new Window Genie franchise in Lexington, KY on Monday June 22nd.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 - Spring cleaning can be a stressful, time-consuming responsibility when we’re left to do it all ourselves. Now that we’re well into summer, you may realize you’ve still got a few tasks on that to-do list that need to be done. Those in the Lexington, KY area who’ve wished for help around the house will have their wish granted on July 22nd. Window Genie announces the grand opening of their newest location set for July 22nd in Lexington, KY. Dave and Becky Copeland and their team join Window Genie, the nationally ranked franchise of home services known to “Clean Windows and a Whole Lot More!” Other services include window tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and more.

Before joining the Window Genie team, Dave Copeland worked as a purchasing manager for Thiel Audio. When his position was eliminated he decided to look into franchising. Owning their own business was something Dave and his wife Becky had always dreamed of. “We had thought about it for a long time and were finally in a financial situation where it became possible. When my job was eliminated we decided to take advantage of the opportunity and pursue our dream.”

They began working with Chris Wright of The YOU Network, a franchiseconsulting group. “I’m glad we had such great guidance throughout the process,” Copeland said. Together they were able to narrow down the search and focus on a few key franchises that fit the Copeland’s wants and needs. “Chris always encouraged us to continue learning as much as we could about each option, and to keep an open mind.”

After doing some research, they decided to look closely into Window Genie and one other service franchise. “Window Genie was our second choice initially because the other franchise had a lower start-up cost. Once we visited Window Genie’s corporate headquarters, met the team and really grasped what the company was all about, we realized that Window Genie was the right choice,” Copeland said. “It just felt right.” Another reason Window Genie moved to the top of their list was that they began to realize the freedom they would gain as Window Genie owners. One of their main priorities in purchasing a franchise was that it would enable a comfortable work-life balance. He said, “Some other franchises required that I do most of the labor, where with Window Genie I could spend more time in the office managing the business and my team of technicians. We didn’t want to buy a business that depended solely on me handing every aspect, I wanted to be able to take a day off here and there.”

Dave and Becky felt that Window Genie’s corporate team would offer superior support over the other franchises they had looked into. “Speaking to existing franchise owners we really saw that they were happy, successful and part of a wonderful national team.”

Commerce Lexington is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday July 22nd at 10:00 to officially mark the grand opening of Window Genie of Lexington.
