CiCi's Pizza Teams Up With Special Olympics Chapters In Georgia

Local Restaurants Kick Off Fundraising Efforts in August

COPPELL, Texas - July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ - In August, CiCi's Pizza, home of the endless buffet, will raise money for Special Olympics Georgia at seven participating CiCi's restaurants in the state. From Thursday, Aug. 1 through Saturday, Aug. 31, guests can purchase Special Olympics paper logos for $1 and personalize them to be displayed in the restaurants. Guests can also donate $5 to cause and receive a voucher for free regular sized drink in return. All proceeds from the logo sales will benefit Special Olympics Georgia state programs.

The fundraising efforts will also include "Dough Raisers" events at participating restaurants on Tuesday, Aug. 13, which is a one-day challenge for CiCi's guests to purchase enough Special Olympics paper logos to cover an entire law enforcement vehicle. In addition to the logo proceeds, participating CiCi's will donate 10 percent of that day's sales to Special Olympics Georgia.

"This is our second year to partner with Special Olympics, and it's been such a great program that we've expanded our fundraising efforts to include three additional states," said CiCi's Field Marketing Manager Diana Isaacson. Special Olympics Georgia provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type events for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This training gives participants the opportunity to develop physically and emotionally while experiencing joy and sharing gifts, skills and friendships.
