Play N Trade Support Center-Canada Trains New Franchise Owners

The Video Game and Consumer Electronics Company does an extensive training program for North Vancouver BC, Saskatoon SK, and Ste. Therese QC, Play N Trade stores.

San Clemente, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 - Play N Trade has developed a strong training program for new franchisees. The five day on-site training took place after previous training at the Canadian headquarters. The training is led by Martin Tardif, President of Play N Trade Canada, Executive Vice President of Training and Support.

The training covers the entire lay out of the Play N Trade franchiseeverything from the video game industry as a whole, to running a successful business is included in the extensive curriculum. Tardif provides specific training to the new franchise owners on daily operations, marketing, distribution and vendors. Advance in-depth training includes knowledge on the new CRM-Podio, and its programs, advantages, and how to use it. The training consisted of seventy percent hands-on, and thirty percent observation, with store visits to local Play N Trade stores in the area. The visits were concentrated toward operations, marketing, customer service, how to protect yourself from theft, managing employees, planning goals, consumer electronics, and the Alice point of sale system with inter-store transfer capabilities.

“This extensive training provides a huge benefit and added value to new franchise owners”, said Martin Tardif. “To train a group of new franchisees is always a new and unique challenge. Some franchisees come with loads of experience in business with an in-depth knowledge of the video game industry. While others are light on experience in management and business, and even sometimes with a different language and culture. Adapting to those realities by offering the best experience to our franchisees is the most rewarding aspect of a franchisor’s life. There is nothing more satisfying than a group of franchisees pushing to improve their performances while giving their input about improving overall process and systems; this is why the franchisor can adapt faster to the market. I have been truly impressed by this group of new franchisees in Canada, and I can guarantee these guys will raise the bar higher. I wish them great success.”

Tardif has owned and operated several Play N Trades in the Sherbrooke area and has been EVP of Support and Training since 2012. In addition to training programs, Tardif has implemented a process he developed for Play N Trade called Franchise Business Improvement Plan (FBIP), a unique process which includes store analytics and benchmarking for each franchise owner. This is a system wide outreach program involving conference calls to franchisees, insight into all reporting, corporate staff being utilized for marketing services, an overview of projected profits, with the continued support of stores through every stage of their business cycle.
