Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announces the Park Inn by Radisson Abuja Kaura, Nigeria

Brussels - August 2, 2013 - Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the ten largest hotel companies worldwide and a leading international hotel operator on the African continent, announces the Park Inn by Radisson Abuja Kaura in Nigeria. The 150-room, full service mid-market property is scheduled to open first quarter 2015.

With this signing we bring our portfolio to eight hotels in operation and under development in Nigeria”, commented Wolfgang M. Neumann, president and chief executive officer, Rezidor.

Carlson Rezidor’s Nigerian pipeline features Park Inn by Radisson hotel locations in Lagos, Abeokuta and Abuja. In the upper upscale segment the 170-room Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Lagos, opened in 2011, with two hotels under development in Abuja and Port Harcourt. Carlson Rezidor now counts 51 hotels in operation and under development in Africa and has the largest pipeline of hotels in sub-Saharan Africa.

The new Park Inn by Radisson will be located in the Kaura district of Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria and less than 15 miles from Abuja International airport. The hotel will offer a restaurant and bar, a club lounge, a rooftop bar, a business lounge, 6,561 square feet of meeting and conference facilities, a gym and wellness spa, and an outdoor swimming pool.
