Steelworks Buffet & Grill is Now Open at Sands Casino Resort

August 16, 2013 // Franchising.com // MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Villa Enterprises Management Ltd., Inc.’s full-service restaurant division, 40 North, celebrates the grand opening of Steelworks Buffet & Grill at Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, PA. The new restaurant replaces the casino’s former buffet, Cobalt Café.

“We’ve completely reinvented the space to create a unique, energetic place for guests to enjoy delicious, fresh meals and a fully-stocked bar,” explains Villa Enterprise’s CEO Anthony Scotto. “Our concepts in the food court have been extremely well-received and we are thrilled to grow our relationship with Sands Casino to offer expanded dining options to guests.”

Designed by Jacksoncreative group of Rhode Island, Steelworks Buffet & Grill incorporates a range of materials, colors and steel-making themed murals that pay homage to the heritage of steel in Bethlehem, PA. Guests can choose their favorites from the à la carte menu or they can enjoy a variety of fresh international culinary dishes at the all-you-can-eat buffet featuring live action cooking, including artisan pizza, a pasta station, sushi, fresh-carved meats and more.

“Since taking over the former Cobalt Café, the Villa team has worked tirelessly to reinvent the space,” said Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem President Robert DeSalvio. “They’ve done a remarkable job, and we know our guests will enjoy the new offerings.”

This summer, Villa Enterprises also opened Croissanterie, where guests can experience the rich flavors and aromas of freshly-ground, slow-drip coffee brewed by the cup, and filled-to-order croissants, baguettes and more. The Croissanterie is inspired by a small neighborhood in the French countryside and features weathered wood, sandstone tiles and white marble creating a warm and comfortable dining environment.

In 2009, Villa Enterprises opened The Market Gourmet Express food court at Sands Casino, which has seen a substantial increase in sales through the execution of eight independent brands: Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen, Green Leaf’s, South Philly Steaks & Fries, The Market, Casa Java, Bananas, Far East and Mo Burger.
