Bottle & Bottega Masters the Fine Art of Franchising

Captivating Art and Wine Studio Announces Strategic Franchise Growth Initiative; Brand Paints Picture-Perfect Future for Aspiring Entrepreneurs Nationwide

August 21, 2013 // Franchising.com // CHICAGO, IL. – Bottle & Bottega is framing a new future for those looking to take the entrepreneurial leap.

The nation’s premier art and wine studio today announced a strategic franchise growth initiative – enticing investors with an opportunity to paint a new picture of their personal and professional destinies.

“From day one, we’ve sought to create an oasis for men and women looking for a fun, unique alternative to a typical night out with friends. Our focus has never changed,” said Nancy Bigley, the CEO and co-owner of Chicago-based Bottle & Bottega. “All it takes is one stroke, one sip, one laugh and Bottle & Bottega sells itself. We’re elated to share this experience with people everywhere.”

The momentum Bottle & Bottega has achieved in the last 12 months is fueling the brand’s growth strategy. New studio locations are set to open in Portland, Central New Jersey, Miami and Evanston, IL within two to six months. Looking ahead, Bottle & Bottega is targeting key U.S. markets in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia and Southern California for additional locations.

Bringing out the creative side in everyone regardless of skill or practice, Bottle & Bottega is one part artistic adventure and one part cocktail party. Through a blend of hands-on art sessions, on-site professional instruction and, of course, a glass of wine, Bottle & Bottega helps guests create a masterpiece that they can be proud to take home.

The brand’s iconic painting parties are perfect for team building outings, adult birthday parties, baby bump baby showers, bachelorette parties, girls night out events and couples showers.

For the first sixth months of operation, franchisees operate a mobile studio. The mobile model permits immediate launch into any market and unlimited revenue stream opportunities once the studio is open. Throughout this period, franchisees scout real estate options to ensure their studio location best fits the brand’s demographic requirements.

In addition to the mobile studio launch, the company’s innovative approach to franchising includes protected territories so franchisees can maximize their market opportunities, as well as a steadfast commitment to the community through the brand’s Creating for a Cause initiative.

“We are growing into new communities with talented individuals who share our passion for art, wine and fun,” said Stephanie King-Myers, the co-owner and COO of Bottle & Bottega. “I couldn’t be happier about our progression and I look forward to sharing the Bottle & Bottega experience with people across the country.”
Bottle & Bottega rose to prominence in March of 2009 with a Chicago-based mobile art studio. King-Myers developed the concept during an impromptu and inspired girls night out where she convinced a friend that painting on a canvas could be done effortlessly with the right inspiration...a glass of wine and the perfect social setting. The city and all of Chicagoland openly embraced the unique concept, and its flagship studio opened a couple of years later.

In 2011, Bigley, a franchise industry executive with years of success at brands such as Dunkin’ Brands, joined as CEO and co-owner of Bottle & Bottega, signaling the launch of the brand’s strategic franchise growth initiative. Today, Bigley and King-Myers are guiding the brand’s franchise growth, leading recent openings in Miami, Central New Jersey, and Portland, Ore.

Complete with training, site selection, marketing and ongoing support, the business model has been cultivated to attract individuals or teams with an ambition to succeed, strong values and solid community and business connections. The Bottle & Bottega franchise investment is under $100,000, which includes the $20,000 franchise fee.
