Construction Of Downtown Embassy Suites Oklahoma City Hotel Begins

Upscale all-suites hotel conveniently located at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center

MCLEAN, Va. - August 15, 2013 – Hilton Worldwide today announced the recent groundbreaking with an Oklahoma City-based partnership to bring its full service, all-suites Embassy Suites Hotels brand to Oklahoma City. Partners Bob Howard, Mickey Clagg and Chris Fleming have teamed up with the Presbyterian Health Foundation and the University Hospitals Trust to develop the six-floor, upscale hotel at 741 N. Phillips Ave. Prism Hotels & Resorts is serving as project manager on the development.

Embassy Suites Oklahoma City will feature 194 rooms, 7,000 square feet of meeting space and an on-site restaurant, the brand’s new dining concept called Brickstones Restaurant and Bar.
The property will be located at the south end of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and adjacent to the OK Kids Korral, a facility for pediatric cancer patients and their families being built by the Toby Keith Foundation. The hotel will also be primely located within a mile of Oklahoma City’s central business district, the Bricktown entertainment district and the State Capitol complex. The hotel is scheduled to open its doors in fall 2014.

The Oklahoma City development will feature the brand’s Design Option III style, which decreases the amount of land needed and offers flexible design features, in addition to a contemporary atrium area. These features further enhance the guest experience by offering greater space and more natural light in guest rooms and public areas like the atrium.
