RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon Will Visit Apollo School in Des Plaines For Its 'Get in Gear to Start the Year' Event on Sept. 14

CHICAGO, Sept. 6, 2013 – The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will visit Apollo School, 10100 Dee Road, Des Plaines, Ill., on Sept. 14 as part of the school's "Get in Gear to Start the Year" walk/bike/run event. The goal of the event, created in cooperation with the Illinois Safe Routes to School program, is to encourage students to walk and bike safely to school each day.

The main event of the morning will be a 3K walk/bike/run open to students, their families and all members of the community, as well as to pets that are on a leash. The event begins at 8 a.m., and the 75-foot-tall RE/MAX balloon will be tethered until approximately 9 a.m., weather permitting.
