New Owner Renames Franchise and Expands to Lower Oklahoma

September 10, 2013 // Franchising.com // Wichita Falls, TX – Steamatic of Texoma, previously known as Steamatic of Wichita Falls, has new owners, Heath Lambeth and Paul Shoemaker, and recently expanded its geographic coverage to include lower Oklahoma – specifically Lawton.

When Lambeth first thought about purchasing the franchise from its former owner, he knew about the Steamatic name, but did not realize there was more to the business than just carpet cleaning.

“After two years of oil field welding, my business had became extremely slow, so with a new baby at home, I found myself looking for something more stable,” he says. “Once I learned about the other services Steamatic offered, my interest in the business grew! I had never heard of air duct cleaning and did not know Steamatic offered restoration services. Once I knew Steamatic offered a variety of services, I was ready to take on the challenge. I also knew these services could be marketed in many different ways.”

For example, Lambeth and Shoemaker renamed the franchise from Steamatic of Wichita Falls to Steamatic of Texoma, expanded coverage to lower Oklahoma and is experimenting with social media; the franchise has a Facebook Fan Page and regularly features special offers, such as a back-to-school cleaning on carpet and air ducts.

“I want to bring a fresh face to this franchise; today, it’s important to reach out to the community in ways beyond traditional advertising and community involvement,” says Lambeth. “We are also a family-run business. I manage daily operations of the company. My father-in-law, Paul, helps me with maintaining the equipment and with after-hours jobs while still working for a company he has been with for 29 years. My mother-in-law, Phyllis, answers the phone. It is our hope to keep the Steamatic name in Wichita Falls for many years to come.”
