Olympia's Reynolds Real Estate is First Franchise in State of Washington for Weichert Real Estate Affiliates

Olympia, Washington based Reynolds Real Estate has joined Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. (WREA) as the first for the brand in the state. The firm now named WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Reynolds Real Estate joins fellow independently owned and operated franchised offices in 37 states overall, representing consistent growth for WREA since its first affiliate launch in 2002.

Olympia, Washington (PRWEB) September 11, 2013 - Weichert, Realtors® - Reynolds Real Estate is now open in Olympia, Washington, as the first for the Weichert brand in the state. Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. (WREA) President Martin J. Rueter joined Broker/Owner Randy Reynolds and his son, Vice President Ryan Reynolds in announcing that the 10-year-old Reynolds Real Estate is “a pioneer office in bringing the Weichert way of doing business to the Northwest.” The opening of the independently owned franchise at 2532 Pacific Avenue S.E. brings to 37 the number of states now flying the Weichert banner.

WREA, the franchise division of Weichert, Realtors, announced its first affiliate in 2002 and by 2005 was identified by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the fastest growing U.S. franchises. The publication’s January 2013 issue declared that Weichert Real Estate Affiliates ranked #2 among all other competitors in its 2013 Franchise 500. Currently, affiliates serve some 240 markets from coast to coast with its under-one-roof menu of services.

Randy Reynolds said that he thought joining the franchise was “something like a dad walking his daughter down the aisle,” thinking, “we can still turn around.” Then “Marty Rueter came to town.” Rueter traveled from New Jersey headquarters to talk to the Olympia agency’s staff and sales team in person. “Marty was fabulous at introducing us to Weichert, and we are all very excited for this opportunity,” he said. “It gives us a foundation that isn’t just me,” he added, “a full team of experts.” From founder Jim Weichert to Rueter and his management staff, the team is made up of people who have been in the field as Realtors, Brokers, office owners, managers and sales people.

While it was tough to give up the double-R logo and the community’s familiarity with it, Reynolds admitted it was clear to see that being part of an organization that provides full support to brokers and agents, ongoing training and award-winning Internet presence, relocation outreach and more, far exceeds the personal recognition of a one-man-run business. The future suggests that the company will grow at the present location and will expand throughout the county in the very near future. To kick things off, a regular career opportunity seminar series will be launched. Meanwhile, the agency is conducting one-on-one interviews by appointment – toward adding agents to the core group.

Reynolds Real Estate has been in business for 10 years in Olympia. Ryan Reynolds left his position as head baseball coach at Phoenix College eight years ago to join his father at the firm.

Randy Reynolds himself has been in real estate for more than 20 years, following another 20 years as a teacher and coach (track and football) in the Tumwater School District. He relocated to Washington in 1971 after graduation from the University of Idaho. He is currently president-elect of the Thurston County Real Estate Association. He has served as president of the Tumwater Kiwanis twice and is a 15-year board member.

Randy is also on the board of the professional division of Washington State Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), side by side with his wife Judy Reynolds, who is the organization’s State Director. The organization hosts about 2000 students statewide participating in various activities to prepare them for business and leadership. The program has 65 areas of competitions covering various topics. Randy has judged in the areas of job interview, partnership with business, business ethics and community leadership, as well as on the scholarship committee.
