Weichert, Realtors Donates $70,000 to American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research

September 17, 2013 - Weichert, Realtors successfully raised $70,000 in donations for the American Cancer Society (ACS) to fund breast cancer research during its 13th Annual Charity Golf Outing. Proceeds from the successful event bring the grand total that Weichert has raised for the ACS to more than $650,000 since the annual fundraiser began in 2001.

“I would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the golf outing, including the many Weichert offices and affiliated companies, as well as the numerous private and corporate sponsors who gave so generously to support a cause that touches so many of our lives,” said Jacelyn Botti, head of residential sales for Weichert, Realtors. “The generosity of all involved is awe-inspiring and it’s humbling to know that for every dollar we raise, it brings us that much closer to finding a cure and finishing this fight.”

Held annually at the picturesque Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J., this year nearly 200 golfers, as well as 26 attendees who chose the new non-golf spa and golf-clinic options, enjoyed a buffet luncheon, three-hour cocktail reception/buffet, prizes and awards. Additionally, in the spirit of the occasion, special guest speaker and breast cancer survivor, Clotilda “Tillie” Cassidy from the Alexandria/Old Town, Va., office of Weichert, Realtors, shared her story of survival with the numerous attendees and encouraged them to make generous contributions toward the cause so that others like her may successfully finish their fight with cancer.

Nearly 90 organizations supported the fundraiser through various forms of sponsorship. Top sponsors included Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Radian Guaranty and UNIRISC & Executive Movers Service.
